An 8-port gigabit unmanaged desktop switch from Netgear that adds wired connections to a home or small office network with no setup at all. Every port runs at up to 1000Mbps with automatic speed sensing, backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

Performance in Use
Most home and small office routers have only three or four LAN ports, and they fill up quickly with a PC, a printer, a NAS and a smart TV. Plug one cable from the router into the GS608 and you have seven more gigabit ports straight away, with every device on the same network as before.
Because it is unmanaged, there is nothing to set up. Connect the power, plug in your cables and the switch works out the speed of each device automatically. Gigabit ports mean file copies to a NAS, backups and 4K streaming run at full wired speed rather than being held back by an older 100Mbps switch.
It is equally at home under a desk in a small office, adding wired connections for workstations and a network printer, or in a comms shelf extending a network to a second room over a single cable run.

Does the switch need any setup?
No. It is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch — connect power and cables and it starts working immediately.
Can it power IP phones or cameras?
No. The GS608 does not supply Power over Ethernet. Use a PoE switch or PoE injector for powered devices.
Will older 100Mbps devices still work?
Yes. Every port senses the speed of the connected device and runs at 10, 100 or 1000Mbps to match.
Does it support VLANs or management?
No. For VLANs, link aggregation or monitoring you need a smart or managed switch.
Can I connect it to another switch?
Yes. AutoUplink works on every port, so a standard network cable to another switch or router is all you need.
