IT asset disposal and equipment buyback for business — Reboot IT

IT Asset Disposal & Buyback for Australian Business

Secure, compliant disposal and remarketing of your organisation's end-of-life IT equipment — laptops, desktops, monitors, servers and more. Request a free quote and we'll be in touch within one business day.

IT asset disposal (ITAD) is the secure, compliant retirement of an organisation's end-of-life computer equipment — covering certified data destruction, environmentally responsible recycling, and value recovery through remarketing. Reboot IT provides ITAD and equipment buyback for businesses across Australia: we collect your redundant laptops, desktops, monitors and servers, destroy the data to an auditable standard, and pay you back for everything we can remarket.

Get value back — buyback & remarketing

Most disposal companies charge you to take equipment away. Reboot IT is different: as a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher, we remarket working devices and pay you back for their remarketable value — turning a disposal cost into a return, while keeping your data secure and your hardware out of landfill.

Secure data destruction & compliance

Data security is the core of responsible ITAD. Reboot IT erases every drive with Blancco — compliant with NIST and DoD data-erasure standards — or physically destroys the storage media, then issues a certificate of data destruction and an itemised asset report. Our process supports your obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, giving your organisation an auditable chain of custody from collection through to destruction.

IT Asset Disposal FAQs

Do you pay for our old equipment?

Yes. As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher we remarket working devices and pay you back for their remarketable value, rather than charging a disposal fee. You receive a buyback valuation with your quote.

Is there a minimum quantity?

ITAD and buyback are built for fleets and bulk volumes — typically an office refresh, relocation or decommission. Tell us roughly how many devices and we'll advise.

Do you offer on-site collection, and where?

Yes — we arrange secure collection from business sites across Australia. Let us know your location and device count and we'll organise pickup.

How is our data destroyed, and do we get a certificate?

Every drive is erased with Blancco (NIST/DoD-compliant) or physically destroyed. You receive a certificate of data destruction and an itemised asset report — an auditable chain of custody aligned with the Australian Privacy Principles and Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

What does the process look like, and how fast?

Submit the form or email your asset list, and we respond within one business day with a quote. We then arrange collection, destroy the data, and issue your certificate of destruction and any buyback rebate due.

Is this service for businesses only?

Yes — it's for organisations disposing of multiple devices: business, government, education, healthcare and not-for-profit. We don't buy individual items from private sellers. For refurbished equipment to buy, visit our online store.
