Unlike a stick-on privacy filter there is nothing to fit, carry or lose, and it can be switched off instantly when you want to share the screen with a colleague.

Does the 4G LTE need a separate plan?

Yes. The modem and SIM slot are built in, but you supply your own data SIM from any Australian carrier. Once a SIM is inserted, Windows treats it as an ordinary network connection with no additional software required.

Is the pen included?

Can the memory or storage be upgraded?

The 16GB of LPDDR3 memory is soldered to the mainboard and cannot be changed — standard across the X1 range, and the reason this 16GB configuration is worth having over an 8GB one. The M.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced or upgraded.
