Dell Precision 3571 15.6" Mobile Workstation
A certified refurbished 15.6" mobile workstation built for CAD, rendering and heavy multitasking — 14-core Intel Core i7-12800H vPro, dedicated NVIDIA RTX A1000 4GB graphics, 32GB DDR5 and a 512GB Gen4 NVMe SSD. Supplied without a webcam (see below). Covered by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
Sold with no webcamThis machine is supplied without a built-in webcam — the camera module has been removed, and the price reflects that. Everything else has been tested and works normally, and the unit carries the same 12-month warranty. The built-in microphone is unaffected, and any USB webcam can be added if you need video calling.
Key benefits
-
Workstation-class processor — Intel Core i7-12800H vPro with 14 cores and 20 threads, boosting to 4.80GHz at a 45W power envelope for sustained multi-core work, not just short bursts.
-
Professional dedicated graphics — NVIDIA RTX A1000 with 4GB GDDR6, an ISV-certified professional GPU rather than a consumer card, for CAD, BIM and 3D viewport performance.
-
32GB DDR5-4800 memory — Dual-channel 2 x 16GB, giving large assemblies, virtual machines and dozens of browser tabs room to run at once.
-
Fast Gen4 storage — 512GB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD for quick project loads and short render-cache waits.
-
All-day battery, USB-C charging — 97Wh 6-cell battery with a 130W USB-C power adapter, so one cable handles power and docking.
-
Built for IT-managed fleets — Intel vPro remote management, TPM 2.0, smart card reader and a backlit keyboard with full numeric keypad.
Performance in use
The Precision 3571 sits in the class of machine that engineering and design teams issue when a standard business ultrabook runs out of headroom. The i7-12800H is a 45W H-series chip — six performance cores and eight efficiency cores — so it holds high clocks through long compiles, batch exports and simulation runs instead of throttling back after a minute like a thin-and-light 15W part.
The RTX A1000 is the part that separates this from a general business laptop. It is a professional-grade GPU with certified drivers for SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit and similar packages, which means stable viewport rendering and far fewer display artefacts than a consumer GeForce card of similar raw speed. Paired with 32GB of DDR5-4800 in dual channel, it handles mid-size assemblies, multi-layer Photoshop work and 1080p video timelines comfortably.
For general office and development work it is considerable overkill in the best sense — Teams calls, large Excel models, Docker containers and a dozen Chrome windows barely register. The 15.6" FHD anti-glare panel at 250 nits is a matte, office-oriented display suited to indoor use, and the 97Wh battery is among the largest fitted to a 15" workstation.

What we check before it is listed
Every machine that comes through our Melbourne workshop is put through the same intake process before it reaches this page. It is not a visual check — each unit is powered up, tested component by component, and the results recorded against its serial number.
-
Hardware scan — processor, memory, storage, display panel, graphics and wireless are all identified and verified against the manufacturer's original factory configuration for that specific serial number, so the specification on this page reflects the machine you receive.
-
Storage health — SMART data is read from the drive, including power-on hours and reallocated sectors. Drives showing early warning signs are replaced rather than listed.
-
Battery condition — measured against design capacity and recorded as a percentage. Grade A units hold 70% or more of original capacity, Grade B between 50% and 70%.
-
Secure data erasure — every drive is wiped to recognised data destruction standards before reimaging. Nothing from the previous owner survives the process.
-
Functional testing — keyboard, trackpad, ports, camera, microphone, speakers, wireless and display are each checked by hand.
-
Cosmetic grading — the chassis, lid, palm rest and screen are inspected under light and graded honestly, with any notable marks recorded.
Anything that fails goes to our repair bench rather than to the shelf. That is why our returns rate sits well below the industry norm for refurbished equipment.
Why buy refurbished from Reboot IT
Reboot IT has been supplying certified refurbished business technology from Melbourne since 2001. Most of what we sell comes out of corporate and government fleets at the end of a lease — machines that were specified for business use, maintained under contract, and retired on a schedule rather than because anything was wrong with them. That is why a refurbished business laptop routinely outlasts a new consumer one at the same price.
Choosing refurbished also keeps working equipment out of landfill. Manufacturing a new laptop accounts for the large majority of its lifetime carbon footprint, so extending the life of an existing machine is one of the more effective decisions an organisation can make on its IT emissions — without asking anyone to accept less capable hardware.
Frequently asked questions
Is the RTX A1000 better than a GeForce card?
For professional applications, yes. The RTX A1000 uses certified workstation drivers validated by software vendors such as Autodesk and Dassault, which delivers stable viewport rendering and fewer display faults. A consumer GeForce card may score higher in games but is not certified for these packages.
Can the memory or storage be upgraded?
Yes. The Precision 3571 uses two SODIMM slots, both occupied by 16GB modules here, and supports higher capacities. There is also room for additional M.2 storage alongside the fitted 512GB Gen4 drive.
Does it have a webcam?
No. The camera module has been removed and the machine is priced accordingly. The built-in microphone still works, and any USB webcam can be added for video calling.
Does it have a touchscreen or mobile broadband?
No to both. This unit has a 15.6" FHD anti-glare non-touch panel and shipped without a WWAN card, so internet access is via Wi-Fi 6E, Ethernet or tethering.
What is included in the box?
The laptop and a compatible power adapter. Original packaging, manuals and accessories are not included unless specifically noted.
How is shipping handled?
Free standard shipping across Australia. Orders placed before 2pm on a business day are typically dispatched the same day from our Melbourne warehouse, with tracking supplied by email.
What testing has it been through?
Every unit is inspected, hardware-tested, data-wiped to recognised standards and reimaged before listing. Battery health, display, ports, keyboard, camera and wireless are all checked as part of intake, and the specification is verified against the manufacturer's factory records for that serial number.
How does the warranty work if something fails?
Contact us directly and our Melbourne team will arrange assessment, repair or replacement. There is no offshore call centre and no third-party administrator between you and the resolution.
Has the previous owner's data been removed?
Yes. Every drive is securely erased to recognised data destruction standards and the operating system freshly reimaged before the machine is listed for sale.
Can schools, businesses and government buy on account?
Yes. We supply schools, government departments and businesses across Australia and can accept purchase orders. Get in touch if you need a quote for volume or a formal PO arrangement.
