What is Dell Intelligent Privacy and how does it work?
Intelligent Privacy uses the FHD IR camera to detect whether a second person is looking at your screen. When it detects a shoulder-surfer, it automatically blurs the display. It clears instantly when they move away. This runs silently in the background — useful on planes, trains, or open-plan offices handling sensitive data.
How do I activate the built-in LTE?
Insert a nano-SIM into the SIM tray (located on the right edge) or activate the built-in eSIM through your carrier's app. Major Australian carriers including Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone support eSIM on business plans. Once set up, Windows manages the mobile connection automatically alongside Wi-Fi.
What is the difference between Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E on this model?
Wi-Fi 6E (the "E" stands for Extended) adds access to the 6 GHz frequency band, which is less congested than the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands used by older Wi-Fi standards. In busy office environments with many devices, this delivers noticeably faster and more consistent speeds. You need a Wi-Fi 6E router to take full advantage, but the card is backward-compatible with older Wi-Fi standards.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The 16 GB LPDDR4x RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. The M.2 NVMe SSD slot is accessible and can be replaced with a larger drive if you need additional storage capacity.

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
