Does the power adapter come included?

No — the power adapter is not included. The 7962G is designed to be powered via PoE 802.3af from a compatible network switch. If your switch does not support PoE, a Cisco CP-PWR-CUBE-4= power adapter (sold separately) is required.

What phone system does this work with?

The 7962G uses Cisco's SCCP (Skinny) protocol and is designed for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM / CallManager). It can also be configured for SIP in some environments. It is not a standalone phone — a VoIP PBX is required.

Can I pass my PC through the phone?

Yes — the integrated 2-port 10/100 Ethernet switch includes a PC port. Run one cable from the wall switch to the phone, then a patch cable from the phone to your PC for clean cable management.

What is the difference between the 7962G and 7971G?

The 7971G has a colour touchscreen, Gigabit Ethernet, and 8 line keys. The 7962G has a grayscale LCD and 10/100 Ethernet but is otherwise similarly featured. The 7971G suits executives; the 7962G is ideal for call centre and general office use.
