What is a refurbished device?

The Yealink VCM34 adds a 3-microphone, 360 degree array with 6 metre voice pickup to Yealink video conferencing systems and UVC PTZ cameras. It runs on PoE over one network cable and cascades up to four units, backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
The VCM34 is an extension microphone for Yealink rooms. It connects by network cable to the Yealink microphone port on a Yealink video conferencing system or a Yealink UVC camera such as the UVC84 or UVC40, which provides its power and carries the audio. Place it in the middle of the table and it becomes the room pickup, with the mute touchpad within reach of the participants.
Three microphones and Yealink audio processing give 360 degree coverage out to about 6 metres, with echo cancellation and noise suppression that filter out keyboard clatter, air-conditioning and projector fans. Full-duplex operation means both ends can talk at once without clipping.
For boardrooms longer than a single unit can cover, a second VCM34 plugs into the cascade port of the first, and up to four can be chained so every seat is close to a microphone. It is not a USB microphone: it needs a compatible Yealink host device.

Can I plug the VCM34 into my computer?
No. It is not a USB device. It connects to the Yealink microphone port of a Yealink video conferencing system or Yealink UVC camera, which powers it.
Does it need a power supply?
No separate power supply is needed when connected to a compatible Yealink host. It uses Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) through the network cable.
How far does it pick up voices?
Up to 6 metres (20ft) in a full 360 degree pattern around the unit.
Can I use more than one?
Yes. Up to four VCM34 arrays can be cascaded in one system using the second RJ-45 port.
Does it include a speaker?
No. It is a microphone array only; audio playback comes from your Yealink system, camera line-out or room speakers.
