The Cisco CP-8831-MIC-WRLS kit adds two DECT wireless microphones to a Cisco Unified IP Conference Phone 8831. Backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT. Supplied as the two microphones only — the charging station and power supply are not included.
A conference phone on its own is sized for a small table. In a larger meeting room, people at the far end sound distant and have to lean in to be heard. The CP-8831-MIC-WRLS microphones sit where the participants are, so everyone comes through clearly without running cables across the table.
Each microphone is paired with the 8831 base once, by holding its mute button until the LED shows solid red. When a charged microphone is lifted from a Cisco charger it powers on and connects to the base automatically, and its mute button lights red whenever it is muted.
A charger is required. These microphones charge only in a Cisco wireless microphone charger, such as the CP-MIC-CHARGER-S charger tray, and no charger or power supply is included with this kit. If your 8831 already has one, these microphones are a straightforward replacement. The Cisco 8831NR model does not support wireless microphones.
