Is the i7-8550U still fast enough in 2026?
For business workloads, comfortably. Four cores and eight threads with a 4.0GHz boost handle Office, video conferencing and heavy browser use without strain. It outperforms many new entry-level laptops sold today.
What is Power Bridge?
The T480 has two batteries — a small internal cell and a larger removable pack. You can swap the external battery for a charged one without shutting the machine down, which is genuinely useful on long travel days.
Is 256GB enough storage?
For most business users, yes. After Windows 11 and the usual application set you will have roughly 180–200GB free. The M.2 NVMe drive can be upgraded later if you need more.
Can I connect two external monitors?

Does it come with Windows activated?
