A proven 6th Gen Intel ThinkPad built for business, featuring a 14" Full HD touchscreen and the unique Power Bridge dual-battery system — swap the external pack without shutting down. Runs on an Intel Core i5-6300U with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
The T460 is built for the everyday business workflow. The i5-6300U handles Office 365, Outlook, Teams and Chrome with multiple tabs open without hesitation, and the 8GB of DDR3L keeps Windows 10 Pro fluid for document-heavy work. The 256GB SSD brings boot times well under 20 seconds and large attachments open without the spinning-disk lag of older HDD machines.
The 14" FHD IPS touchscreen adds genuine value for stylus annotation, tablet-style navigation in Windows 10, and presentation touchpoints — a feature you rarely find at this price point. The display is matte and glare-resistant, making it comfortable in bright offices or outdoor settings.
Where the T460 shines is field and classroom readiness. The Power Bridge battery system lets you carry a charged spare external pack and swap mid-session without losing your work. Three full-size USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and Gigabit Ethernet mean almost any legacy or modern peripheral connects directly. The spill-resistant backlit keyboard remains one of the best in class for sustained typing comfort.

Does this support Windows 11?
No — Intel 6th Generation CPUs are not eligible for Windows 11. The T460 ships with Windows 10 Pro, which receives extended security updates for business through to October 2026. If you need a system that is compatible with Windows 11, choose an 8th Gen or newer model.
How does the Power Bridge dual battery work?
The T460 has a small internal battery that keeps the system alive while you swap the larger external pack — no shutdown required. Carry a charged spare and hot-swap on the fly, ideal for field visits, classrooms or long meeting days away from a charger.
Is the display really a touchscreen?
Yes — this model ships with a 14" Full HD IPS touchscreen (1920×1080, matte anti-glare). You can swipe, scroll and pinch-to-zoom in Windows 10, or use a compatible stylus for annotation.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
Yes — both are upgradeable. The T460 has two SODIMM slots supporting up to 32GB DDR3L total, and the 2.5" SATA bay (currently a 256GB SSD) is user-removable. There is also an M.2 2242 slot for an optional second SSD.
Is the keyboard backlit?
Most T460 configurations ship with a two-stage backlit keyboard. Backlight availability can vary by individual unit — please ask before purchase if this is essential for you.
What about shipping and delivery?
Free standard shipping is included to all Australian addresses. Express options are available at checkout. We also offer 14-day change-of-mind returns on unmarked units and full warranty cover for hardware faults.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
Hardware defects and functional failures for 12 months from purchase. Excludes accidental damage, liquid ingress and normal cosmetic wear. Batteries are tested to hold a charge, and a battery that holds no charge is replaced if reported within 7 days of purchase.
Every ThinkPad T460 sold by Reboot IT carries a 12-month warranty covering hardware defects. Each unit is professionally tested, cleaned and reinstalled with a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro before dispatch. We have been refurbishing and reselling quality IT equipment from Melbourne since 2001.
Free standard shipping is included to anywhere in Australia, with a tax invoice enclosed. Visit reboot-it.com.au or contact our Melbourne-based team with any pre- or post-purchase questions.

At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items.
