What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.
What payment options are available?
We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!
We ensure secure processing of your payment information and do not retain or have access to your credit card details.
A fast, dependable monochrome laser printer for small offices and workgroups, rated at 40 pages per minute with Gigabit Ethernet networking built in. Tested by our Melbourne workshop and backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
The M402n is built for the everyday reality of office printing: invoices, packing slips, contracts, reports and forms, printed by several people across a working day. At 40 pages per minute it clears a hundred-page job in under three minutes, and the 250-sheet main tray means you are not refilling paper between runs. For a small practice, workshop or site office, it removes the bottleneck of a desktop printer shared over one person's computer.
Networking is the practical difference here. With Gigabit Ethernet on board, the printer sits on the network as its own device — anyone can print to it whether or not a particular PC is switched on, and adding a new machine is a matter of pointing it at the printer's address. There is also a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port for a direct connection where a network drop is not available.
Worth being clear about what this model does not do: the M402n has manual duplex only. Double-sided printing means re-feeding the stack, rather than the automatic two-sided printing of the M402dn. If most of your output is single-sided, that is a non-issue and the n saves you money. If you routinely print double-sided reports, the dn is the model you want.

| Grade | What to expect |
| A — Excellent | Excellent to very good cosmetic condition. May have light scratches or other minor blemishes on the casing. Fully tested and functionally sound. |
| B — Good | Good cosmetic condition with more visible wear, scuffs or marks on the casing. Functionally identical and tested to the same standard. |
Cosmetic grading refers to the exterior casing only. Every unit is tested to the same functional standard regardless of grade.
How much toner is left in it?
The installed black cartridge is low — under 10 percent remaining, roughly 200 pages. Please budget for a replacement cartridge as part of your purchase. We would rather tell you up front than have it run out in your first week.
How many pages has it printed?
The meter reads 30,400 pages. For context, this model is rated for a monthly duty cycle far above typical small-office use, so that figure represents a modest fraction of its designed working life.
Does it print double-sided automatically?
No. The M402n supports manual duplex only — you re-feed the paper to print the second side. The M402dn is the model with an automatic duplexer if that is a requirement.
Does it have Wi-Fi?
No. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet and Hi-Speed USB 2.0. It needs a network cable or a direct USB connection.
Can it scan or copy?
No — this is a single-function printer. If you need scanning and copying as well, look at a multifunction model instead.
Which toner cartridges does it take?
It uses the HP 26A and 26X series black cartridges. The 26X is the high-yield option and works out cheaper per page for heavier use. Both are readily available in Australia.
What are the shipping arrangements?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout. Local collection from our Springvale premises can also be arranged.
This printer is covered by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty. If a hardware fault develops within the warranty period, contact us and we will resolve it — repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances. Consumables such as toner are excluded, as they are with any printer.
