An HP Compaq business laptop with a proven Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66GHz processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, and 160GB HDD. Supplied without an operating system. With 1GB of RAM, this machine is best suited to very lightweight Linux distributions (Puppy Linux, AntiX, TinyCore), legacy POS or industrial software, or as a parts/lab machine. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
With 1GB of RAM, the NX6320 is most comfortable running very lightweight Linux distributions. Puppy Linux or AntiX (both under 1GB RAM usage at idle) allow basic web browsing, text editing, and document viewing. LibreOffice Writer and Calc run acceptably for simple documents.
For legacy or industrial use cases — older POS software, serial-port-connected equipment control, or Windows XP/7 era applications — the NX6320 provides a capable and affordable platform. Running Linux with Wine extends compatibility to many legacy Windows programs.
This machine ships without an operating system. Adding more RAM (up to 4GB DDR2 is supported) is strongly recommended before installation and will significantly expand the usable software range.

| Parts or lab machine | Primary everyday computing |
| Budget Linux experimentation | Any RAM-intensive application without upgrade |
| Grade | Cosmetic Condition | Battery Health |
|---|---|---|

| B — Good | Light surface wear, minor scuffs | 40–69% capacity, 7-day dead-battery cover |
Does it come with an operating system?
No — the NX6320 ships without an OS. We strongly recommend a lightweight Linux distribution such as Puppy Linux or AntiX, which are optimised for low-RAM hardware.
Can I add more RAM?
Yes — the NX6320 supports up to 4GB DDR2 via two SO-DIMM slots. Upgrading to 2–4GB will significantly expand what this machine can run.
Is it suitable for everyday use?
With 1GB RAM it is limited to very lightweight tasks. Upgrading RAM and installing a lightweight Linux distro makes it more capable, but it is best suited as a secondary, legacy, or specialist machine.
Is shipping free?
Yes — free standard Australia-wide shipping is included with every order.
What is the battery health like?
Grade A units have 70%+ battery capacity. Grade B units have 40–69%. Both grades include 7-day dead-battery cover.
What does the warranty cover?
The 12-month warranty covers all hardware faults and component failures. Batteries are tested to hold a charge, and a battery that holds no charge is replaced if reported within 7 days of purchase. Contact our Melbourne-based team for support.
Every unit comes with a 12-month warranty covering all hardware faults and component failures. Our Melbourne-based support team handles all claims promptly. A 7-day dead-battery cover is included on all grades.
