Description
This Brocade switch is manufactured for EMC and is known as the EMC Connectrix DS-300B. Good port density and scalability for a mid-range enterprise SAN. Minimum ports are 8 and can be upgraded 8 at a time. This allows you to start smaller and at a cost-effective price point and build out as needed. This switch is becoming more affordable and is flexible enough for entry-level SANs or as core to edge in SAN environments.
- 24 Fibre Channel universal ports with 1, 2, and 4 Gbit/s full duplex. 8 port base and expandable in 8 port increments.
- Full line-speed switching and auto-sensing of 1, 2, 4, and 8 Gbps port speeds
- Enhanced Transmission Selection
- ISL Trunking up to eight 8Gb/s ports per ISL Trunk, for a single Trunk up to 68 Gb/s (8 ports x 8.5 Gb/s).
- Fibre Channel media type: Hot-plug, standard Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) and SFP+, LC connector
- 1 USB port for firmware, supportSave, and config backup and restore.
