An enterprise-grade 24-port Fibre Channel SAN switch running Fabric OS, with all 24 8Gbps ports active and full zoning support — backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty and ready for SAN environments connecting servers to storage arrays. Note: SFP+ transceivers are not included.

The Brocade 300 is a proven Fibre Channel fabric switch widely deployed in enterprise data centres to connect server HBAs to SAN storage arrays (EMC, NetApp, HP 3PAR, IBM DS series, and others). With 24 active 8Gbps ports, it provides ample connectivity for mid-size SAN fabrics — enough to host multiple server-to-storage paths with port redundancy configured via your storage management platform.

Fabric OS delivers the management depth SAN administrators expect: zoning wizards, diagnostic commands, fabric watch alerting, and firmware upgrade paths. Auto-negotiation means you can connect a mix of older 4Gbps HBAs and newer 8Gbps initiators to the same fabric without per-port speed configuration. SNMP traps integrate with tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG for proactive alerting on port errors or link state changes.

For organisations expanding an existing Brocade fabric, adding a Brocade 300 as a secondary switch is straightforward — ISL uplinks can be configured between switches to create a larger unified fabric. For greenfield SAN deployments, the 300 provides a cost-effective entry point into enterprise FC infrastructure.

Fair tech for price

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.

Works excellently as advertised.

The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
