What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

A compact, fanless thin client built on the AMD G-T48E processor with 8GB RAM and 2GB flash storage. Designed to connect to a server or virtual desktop rather than run applications locally. Professionally tested and graded by Reboot IT, with a 12-month warranty included.
The Wyse 5010 D10D is a pure thin client, and that is the important thing to be clear about before buying. It is not a small desktop PC. Its purpose is to connect to something else — a Windows terminal server, a Citrix or VMware virtual desktop, or a remote-desktop host. The processing and the data live on the server; this unit renders the session and drives the peripherals.
Within that role it does the job very well. The fanless design means there is nothing to service and nothing to fail mechanically, and units of this type routinely run for years untouched. The 2GB flash carries the boot image and nothing more, which is the point: no local operating system to patch, no local data to secure, and a device that can be swapped in minutes if it ever fails.
What sets this particular unit apart is the 8GB of RAM — considerably more than the 2GB or 4GB typical of the class. That memory is used by the session, so heavier virtual desktops, multiple simultaneous connections or a session running many browser tabs all have room to breathe. If you have found lighter thin clients struggling under a demanding VDI image, this configuration is the one to try. Just pair it with the infrastructure it expects: with only 2GB of flash, this is a connect-out device, not a machine for local applications.

What is a thin client, and will it replace my desktop PC?
A thin client connects to a server or virtual desktop where the computing actually happens. It is not a standalone desktop replacement. With 2GB of flash storage, this unit is designed to boot and connect out — if you need to run software locally, choose a small-form-factor desktop instead.
Why does it have 8GB of RAM but only 2GB of storage?
That combination is deliberate for the role. The flash holds only a minimal boot image, while the RAM supports the remote session — and 8GB is generous for a thin client, giving good headroom for demanding virtual desktops or several concurrent connections.
How does this differ from the D90D7 variant?
The D90D7 ships with Windows Embedded Standard 7 on a 16GB SSD plus WiFi, which allows some local application use. This D10D has more memory (8GB) but only 2GB flash, making it a purer connect-out client. Choose by whether you need local capability or session headroom.
Does it include a monitor, keyboard or mouse?
No — the thin client and power supply are provided. Peripherals are sold separately, and we usually have refurbished monitors and accessories in stock.
Can it be mounted behind a monitor?
Yes. The chassis is VESA mountable, so it can sit behind a screen or under a desk and occupy no usable space.
What shipping options are available?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout.
