In a typical desk setup the WD19 does the job people actually buy a dock for: you sit down, plug in one cable, and two monitors, the keyboard, the mouse, the headset and the wired network all come alive at once. Because the dock holds the peripheral connections, nothing needs re-pairing or re-plugging when you leave for a meeting and come back.
For office and back-office work it has comfortable headroom. Two external displays running spreadsheets, a browser with a heavy tab load, a Teams or Zoom call and a USB headset is well within what the unit handles. Wired Ethernet through the dock is noticeably steadier than Wi-Fi for video calls and for moving large files to a NAS or file server.
The practical limit is bandwidth rather than the dock itself. Very high refresh rates, or several high-resolution displays at once, depend on what the host laptop GPU and its USB-C port will negotiate — the same dock will drive more on a modern machine than on an older one. For standard dual-monitor office resolutions it is comfortable, and it is a straightforward upgrade for anyone still working off a single laptop screen.

Grading is cosmetic. Every unit is functionally tested to the same standard regardless of grade. This product has no internal battery, so battery grading does not apply.
Will this work with a non-Dell laptop?
Yes. The WD19 is a USB-C dock, so it works with laptops from any manufacturer provided the USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Most business-class USB-C laptops from the last several years do. It is not restricted to Dell hardware.
Is the power adapter included?
Yes. This listing includes the Dell AC adapter, so the dock is ready to use out of the box. Docks are frequently sold bare, and without an adapter the dock cannot power itself or charge the laptop.
How many monitors can I connect?
Up to three external displays, using the HDMI port, the DisplayPort and the multifunction USB-C port. How many run at once, and at what resolution, is determined by the graphics capability of the laptop you connect it to.
Will it charge my laptop?
Yes, over the same USB-C cable that carries video and data, provided your laptop accepts charging over USB-C. Machines with very high power draw may charge more slowly than they would on their own factory charger.
What is the difference between the WD19 and the WD19TB?
The WD19 is the USB-C model and connects to any compatible USB-C laptop. The WD19TB is the Thunderbolt version, which offers greater bandwidth but requires a Thunderbolt 3 port on the host machine. This listing is the USB-C WD19.
Is it tested before it ships?
Every dock is bench-tested in our Melbourne workshop — video outputs, Ethernet, every USB port and laptop charging are all confirmed working before the unit is graded and listed.
What if it does not work with my laptop?
It is covered by a 12-month warranty, and our team can help confirm compatibility before or after purchase. If the dock is faulty we repair, replace or refund it.
