Performance in Use

The PowerEdge T630 is a dual-socket tower built for businesses that want server-grade reliability without a rack. Two 8-core Xeon E5-2620 v4 processors provide 16 cores and 32 threads, enough to run several virtual machines, a file server and line-of-business applications side by side.

With 64GB of DDR4 registered memory and four installed drives totalling 7TB, it is ready for a small virtualisation host, a file and backup server, or a domain and database server for a growing office. The platform has 24 DIMM slots and extensive PCIe expansion, so memory, storage controllers and network cards can be added as needs change.

Delivered without an operating system, the T630 can run Windows Server, a Linux distribution or a hypervisor such as VMware ESXi or Proxmox. Integrated iDRAC8 lets an IT provider monitor hardware health and manage the server remotely.
