Cisco UC520-48U — 48-User Unified Communications Phone System
The Cisco UC520-48U is an all-in-one small-business phone system supporting up to 48 users, combining an IP PBX, voicemail, auto-attendant, an 8-port PoE switch, and integrated routing, firewall and analogue connectivity in a single unit. A cost-effective platform for maintaining or building a Cisco-based voice network, backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.

Performance in Use
The UC520-48U was Cisco's flagship "communications-in-a-box" for small business — a single unit that replaces a separate PBX, voicemail server, PoE switch and router. For a business already running Cisco IP phones, it delivers extensions, voicemail, auto-attendant call handling and PSTN trunking out of one appliance, keeping the voice network consolidated and easy to manage through Cisco Configuration Assistant or the CLI.
The built-in 8-port PoE switch powers Cisco 7900-series and SPA IP phones directly, while FXO ports connect to existing analogue phone lines and FXS ports handle fax machines and analogue handsets. Integrated routing, firewall and VPN mean a small office can run voice and data from the same box.
Please note: the Cisco UC500 series is end-of-life and end-of-sale, and is no longer supported or updated by Cisco. It remains a practical choice for maintaining an existing UC500 deployment, sourcing a spare/replacement unit, or for lab, training and CCNA/CCNP Voice study. It is not suited to new greenfield deployments where a current, supported platform is required.

Are IP phones included?
No — this listing is for the UC520-48U gateway unit only. Cisco IP phones are sold separately.
