What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.
What payment options are available?
We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!

A dual-socket tower server built for virtualisation, file serving and on-premise workloads, with 16 physical cores across two Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 processors, 64GB of DDR4 ECC memory and 2 × 1TB SAS enterprise drives. Fully tested by our Melbourne workshop and backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
The T630 sits in the sweet spot for small and mid-sized businesses that have outgrown a single server but do not want the noise, heat and rack infrastructure of a data-centre chassis. With 16 physical cores and 64GB of ECC memory, it comfortably runs a hypervisor hosting several production virtual machines — a domain controller, a file server, a line-of-business application server and a test environment — without contention between them.
For file and backup duty, the SAS drives matter more than the core count. SAS disks are engineered for sustained multi-user access and continuous operation, which is precisely the workload that wears out consumer drives. Paired with an 18-bay chassis, this machine can grow from a straightforward file server into a substantial storage host as your capacity needs increase, without a forklift upgrade.
The Broadwell-EP generation also remains a sensible choice for workloads licensed per socket or per core. Two 8-core processors deliver serious throughput at a hardware cost far below current-generation equivalents, which makes the T630 a practical platform for lab environments, application testing, container hosts and any deployment where predictable capacity matters more than the newest instruction set.

| Grade | What to expect |
| A — Excellent | Excellent to very good cosmetic condition. May have light scratches or other minor blemishes on the chassis. Fully tested and functionally sound. |
| B — Good | Good cosmetic condition with more visible wear, scuffs or marks on the chassis. Functionally identical and tested to the same standard. |
Cosmetic grading refers to the exterior chassis only. Every unit is tested to the same functional standard regardless of grade.
Does this server come with an operating system?
No. It is supplied without an operating system so you can install the hypervisor or server OS your environment requires — VMware ESXi, Proxmox, Windows Server or a Linux distribution.
How much memory can it take?
The T630 platform has 24 DIMM slots. This unit ships with 2 × 32GB installed, leaving 22 slots free, so there is substantial headroom for expansion using DDR4 ECC modules.
Can I add more drives?
Yes. The chassis is an 18-bay configuration and ships with two 1TB SAS drives fitted, so there is considerable room to expand storage as your requirements grow.
Why SAS drives rather than SATA?
SAS drives are designed for sustained multi-user access and continuous operation in server environments. They typically carry higher duty-cycle ratings than desktop SATA drives, which is why enterprise servers specify them.
Is this a rack-mount server?
This is supplied as a tower. Dell produced a rack conversion kit for the T630 chassis, but it is not included with this unit.
What are the shipping arrangements?
This is a heavy, bulky item. Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout. Local collection from our Springvale premises can also be arranged.
What testing has it been through?
Every unit is powered up, hardware-audited and functionally tested by our technicians before it is listed. Processors, memory and drives are verified as present and working, and the chassis is inspected and graded.
This server is covered by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty. If a hardware fault develops within the warranty period, contact us and we will resolve it — repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
