Performance in Use

The PowerEdge R720 remains a capable enterprise server for organisations running VMware vSphere, Proxmox, or Hyper-V virtualisation. With 16 cores, 32 threads, and 128GB of ECC RAM, it can host a meaningful number of virtual machines for development, test, or production workloads. The large memory footprint is particularly well suited to running databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server where datasets benefit from being held in memory.
