The Latitude 7389 was Dell's business convertible — the 7000 series is their premium line, so this sits above the mainstream 5000 machines in build quality and materials. The 360-degree hinge is the defining feature: fold the screen right back and it becomes a tablet, stand it in tent mode for a presentation or a video call, or use it as an ordinary laptop. Few devices genuinely serve all three roles, and a business-grade convertible at refurbished pricing is an unusual find.
The i5-7200U with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD handles the everyday business workload without complaint: email, a browser with plenty of tabs, Office applications and video calls. The SSD is what keeps it feeling quick — boot in seconds, no waiting for applications to open.
One thing to be clear about before ordering. This is a 7th Generation processor, and Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements begin at 8th Generation. Windows 10 Pro is installed and fully functional, but Windows 10 reached end of mainstream support in October 2025, so this machine will not have an official upgrade path. For a great many uses — a dedicated field device, a kiosk, a secondary machine, or any managed internal deployment — that is entirely acceptable and the touchscreen convertible design more than earns its place. If you need a primary machine on a currently supported operating system, look at an 8th Generation or newer model instead. We would rather you knew that up front.

Will it run Windows 11?
No. Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements begin at 8th Generation Intel processors and this machine has a 7th Generation chip. Windows 10 Pro is installed and fully functional, but there is no official upgrade path. Worth weighing if this is intended as a primary machine.
How does the 2-in-1 hinge work?
The screen rotates a full 360 degrees. Fold it right back against the base for tablet mode, part-way for tent mode (useful for presentations and video calls), or leave it in the conventional laptop position. Windows switches interface mode automatically as you fold.
Does the touchscreen support a stylus?
The panel supports finger touch and passive capacitive styli. Active-pen support varies by configuration on this model — if pen input is essential to your use, contact us before ordering and we will check the actual unit.
Is Windows 10 Pro activated?
Yes. The unit ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and activated, ready to use on arrival. There is no separate licence to purchase.
Can the RAM or storage be upgraded?
The 7389 uses an M.2 SSD which can generally be replaced with a larger drive. Memory on this model is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded, so 8GB is fixed — worth factoring into your decision.
What condition is the battery in?
Battery health is graded before dispatch: 70% or better of original capacity for Grade A, between 50% and 70% for Grade B. Batteries are consumable items and carry a 30-day warranty.
