Crestron HD-MD6X2-4K-E 6x2 4K HDMI Switcher

The Crestron HD-MD6X2-4K-E is a 6x2 HDMI switcher with six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, supporting 4K/60 video. It mounts in a single rack unit (1U) or sits on a desk, and can be controlled from its front panel, a web browser or a Crestron control system.

This is a pre-owned unit in Excellent condition. It was powered on and checked at Reboot IT in Melbourne, and its green status light came on.

  • 4K/60 video. It handles 4K signals at 60 frames per second, suited to modern displays and projectors.
  • EDID management. EDID management helps sources and displays agree on a working resolution, which cuts down on blank screens when switching.
  • Three ways to control it. Use the front panel, a web browser, or a Crestron control system.
  • Rack or desk. It fits in 1U of rack space or sits on a desk or credenza.

Performance in Use

In a meeting room or classroom, a switcher decides which source appears on which screen. The HD-MD6X2-4K-E gives you six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, so presenters can plug in a laptop and staff can switch between the room PC, a guest device or a media player without swapping cables at the display.

With two outputs it can drive a pair of displays, or a display and a projector, from the same set of sources. EDID management helps each connected source pick a resolution the displays can show, and the 4K/60 support means it keeps up with current 4K screens.

Day to day it can be run from the buttons on the front panel with no other equipment. For more polished rooms it can be controlled from a web browser, or integrated into a Crestron control system. It is pre-owned, so check its settings after installation.

All-in-one Solution for Home Office
