At 1680x1050 in a 16:10 ratio, this panel is aimed squarely at text and data work. Accounts software, records systems, long documents and email all benefit from the extra vertical rows, which is the specific advantage 16:10 retains over the widescreen panels that replaced it.
Because no stand is included, the natural home for this monitor is a mount that already exists — a monitor arm on a multi-screen desk, a bracket at a service counter, or a wall plate in a workshop. It is also a practical spare, since a failed screen on a working mount only needs the panel replaced.
The panel is TN, which trades wide viewing angles for fast response and crisp head-on text. Seated directly in front of it, as a single user at a desk, the difference against IPS is far less noticeable than the price gap between them.
