The Synology RX1214RP is a 2U rackmount expansion unit adding twelve additional drive bays to a compatible Synology RackStation. It features redundant hot-swappable power supplies for continuous operation and connects to the host NAS over a dedicated expansion cable. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.

On its own, it will not serve files, run DSM, or appear on a network.

A RackStation approaching full can gain twelve bays without data migration, without a new chassis, and without a rebuild — the expansion connects over a dedicated cable and its bays become available within DSM. All-in-one Solution for Home Office

Fair tech for price

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
