Is this router compatible with my NBN connection?

Yes — the R7000P works with all Australian NBN connection types (FTTP, FTTN, FTTC, HFC, Fixed Wireless) when connected to your NBN modem or modem-router. Note: this unit is a router only and does not include a built-in modem. If you are on HFC or FTTN, you will still need a separate modem or your ISP's supplied modem-router in bridged mode.

Does it work with all Australian ISPs (Telstra, Optus, Aussie Broadband)?

Yes. The R7000P is ISP-agnostic and works with any Australian provider's broadband service via standard PPPoE or DHCP WAN configuration. It is compatible with Telstra, Optus, Aussie Broadband, TPG, Internode, and others. Your ISP may supply specific login credentials for PPPoE connections.

How do I set up and manage the router?

Setup is handled through the NETGEAR Genie app (free, available on iOS and Android) or through the web browser admin interface at routerlogin.net. The Genie app also provides remote management, parental controls, and traffic monitoring from your smartphone.

Can I use this as a wireless access point instead of a main router?

All-in-one Solution for Home Office

Fair tech for price

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.

Works excellently as advertised.

The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
