The glass on this Surface Pro 8 is cracked. We are selling it at a heavily reduced price because of that damage, and we want it stated plainly before you buy.
What still works: the display image is clear and complete, and touch and pen input register normally across the whole panel. The crack is cosmetic and physical, not functional. Please expect visible crack lines on the glass, and handle the edges with care.

Set the cracked glass aside for a moment and this is a fully specified Surface Pro 8. The i7-1185G7 and 16GB of RAM run desktop Windows 11 Pro with real authority — office suites, dense browser sessions, Teams calls, and photo editing all feel quick. Nothing about the damage touches the processor, memory, storage, battery or ports.
The 13-inch PixelSense Flow panel underneath the glass is one of the best screens fitted to any portable: 2880x1920 resolution in a tall 3:2 shape, with a 120Hz refresh rate that makes scrolling and pen input feel liquid. Touch and stylus input register correctly across the full surface. You will see the crack lines when the screen is on, most noticeably against light backgrounds, and they do not obstruct the image.
This unit suits two buyers particularly well. The first wants maximum specification per dollar and can live with a cosmetic flaw — a second machine, a workshop or site device, a student computer, or a test unit. The second plans to dock it: with an external monitor on Thunderbolt 4, the damaged glass stops being part of the daily experience at all, and you are running an i7 with 16GB of RAM for the price of a far weaker machine. How bad is the screen crack?
The outer glass is cracked and the crack lines are visible when the screen is on, particularly against light backgrounds. The display image itself is complete and clear, with no dead areas, black patches or lines. Touch and pen input work normally across the whole panel.
Can the screen be repaired or replaced?
It can, but the Surface Pro 8 display is a bonded assembly, so replacement is a specialist job and the part is expensive relative to the value of the device. Most buyers of a unit like this choose to use it as is, or dock it to an external monitor. We price it on the assumption you will not repair it.
Is the crack covered by the warranty?
The 12-month Reboot IT warranty covers the function of the device — processor, memory, storage, battery, ports and the display's operation. The existing screen damage is disclosed at the point of sale and is not itself a warranty claim, and neither is any worsening of that existing crack.
Does the built-in LTE need a SIM card?
Yes — this is the 4G LTE model, so insert a nano SIM with an active data plan for mobile broadband Australia-wide. It is compatible with major Australian carriers, and also has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Is a keyboard or stylus included?
No. The Surface Pro 8 tablet is the core unit. The detachable Type Cover keyboard and the Surface Slim Pen are separate accessories and are not included with this unit.
