Can the RAM be upgraded later?
No — the 16GB of LPDDR4x memory is soldered to the motherboard, which is how Lenovo achieves the ultra-thin 14.9 mm chassis. If you need 32GB or more, consider the ThinkPad T-series instead.
What does Intel vPro give me?
vPro adds hardware-level remote management and security features used by IT departments — out-of-band remote access, hardware-based protection and simpler fleet provisioning. For a solo user it's a bonus; for a managed business fleet it's a genuine advantage over standard consumer laptops.
What's the difference between Thunderbolt 4 and regular USB-C?
Both ports use the USB-C connector, but Thunderbolt 4 guarantees 40Gbps throughput, dual 4K external displays, PCIe-class storage speeds and Power Delivery. Standard USB-C tops out at much lower bandwidth and rarely supports dual external monitors from a single port.
Is the Windows 11 Pro licence genuine?

Can the SSD be upgraded?

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
