Performance in use
The Z400 was HP's entry workstation, built for engineers, designers and technical users who need more reliability than a standard desktop. The Xeon W3520 and Quadro FX 1800 handle 2D CAD drawings, older 3D design packages, video playback and multi-monitor setups comfortably.
Its tower chassis is easy to work on, which makes it a good base for upgrades such as more memory, a solid state drive or a newer graphics card. It also suits workshop, lab and testing roles where a sturdy, serviceable machine matters more than the latest processor.
This unit has been tested with all functions working and shows small scratches on the case. It is supplied with no operating system.
