Basic firewall and VPN functions work without a subscription. UTM features including IPS, antivirus, URL filtering, and application control require an active FortiGuard licence. Subscriptions are purchased directly from Fortinet or an authorised reseller.

Is the device factory reset?

Yes. All units are factory reset to default FortiOS configuration before dispatch. You configure it fresh under your own account.

Does it work with NBN VDSL2?

Yes. The integrated modem supports VDSL2 (including NBN FTTN and FTTB connections) as well as ADSL2+ for older copper ADSL connections.

Can I manage it with FortiManager?

Yes. The FG-50G-DSL supports FortiManager central management and FortiAnalyzer logging — standard across all FortiGate models.

What is the warranty?

All Reboot IT products include a 12-month hardware warranty. If a hardware fault develops within 12 months, we repair or replace at no cost. This covers hardware only, not FortiGuard licences.
