What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

A Precision is a mobile workstation rather than an ordinary business laptop, and the 3581 is Dell's 15.6-inch model. This one carries a 14-core Core i7-13800H, 32GB of memory, a 512GB NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA RTX A500 professional graphics card, behind a Full HD touchscreen. The RTX A500 is the part that matters: it is a certified professional GPU, built and driver-supported for CAD and engineering software rather than for games.
This is a machine for professional software. The RTX A500 carries workstation drivers, which is what CAD, BIM and engineering packages are tested and certified against — the practical result is stability in applications that can behave unpredictably on consumer graphics. The 14-core i7-13800H sustains high clock speeds through long jobs, and 32GB of memory handles the sort of assemblies and datasets that would exhaust a standard business laptop. Together with the 512GB NVMe SSD it loads and works through large projects quickly.

What makes this a workstation rather than a laptop?
The professional graphics card and its certified drivers. Workstation GPUs are validated by software vendors for CAD and engineering packages, which is why those applications run more predictably on them.
Is the RTX A500 good for gaming?
It will run games, but that is not what it is designed or driver-tuned for. If gaming is the priority, a consumer GeForce card gives more for the money.
Can the memory or storage be expanded?
The Precision 3581 has accessible memory and storage. Contact us before ordering if you would like it configured differently.
Does it come with a charger?
Yes, a compatible power adapter is included. Workstations use a higher-wattage adapter, so use the one supplied.
Do you have more than one?
Yes, we have matching units from the same source. Contact us for quantity pricing.
Do I need a special SIM for the 4G?
No. The laptop takes a standard Australian data SIM. You will need a data plan; the SIM itself is not included.

Certified professional graphics
The NVIDIA RTX A500 carries workstation drivers that CAD, BIM and engineering vendors validate their software against. That certification is what delivers stability in applications which can be unpredictable on consumer cards.
Sustained workstation performance
The 14-core i7-13800H is an H-series processor that holds high clock speeds through long renders and builds rather than throttling back after a minute.
Memory for real projects
32GB lets you open large assemblies, models and datasets, and keep reference material and a browser open alongside them, without the machine slowing down.
Workstation value, not workstation price
A new mobile workstation with this specification is a significant purchase. Refurbished, professionally tested and graded, it costs a fraction of that and still carries a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.
