A certified refurbished Dell Precision 3561 mobile workstation built for professional workloads — 8-core Intel Core i7-11850H, 32GB RAM, fast 256GB NVMe SSD and dedicated NVIDIA T600 graphics on a 15.6" Full HD anti-glare display, running Windows 11 Pro. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty. Please note: this unit's BIOS is password locked — it boots from the drive and runs completely normally, the only limitation is that BIOS/firmware settings cannot be changed.
⚠️ BIOS-locked unit: This workstation has a BIOS supervisor password set. It powers on, boots into Windows 11 Pro from the installed SSD, and operates normally for everyday use. You will not be able to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup menu to change firmware settings, alter boot order, or re-image from an external device. It is priced to reflect this. If you need full BIOS access (e.g. for enterprise re-imaging or custom firmware configuration), this unit is not suitable.
Cosmetic note — paint peeling: This unit has some peeling/flaking paint on the cabinet (outer chassis). It is purely cosmetic — it does not affect performance, the display, the keyboard, or any function — and the unit is priced to reflect it.
The Precision 3561 is a genuine mobile workstation, and it shows under load. The 8-core i7-11850H paired with 32GB of RAM tears through engineering and design workloads — CAD models, BIM projects, photo and video editing, large datasets and multiple virtual machines all run smoothly. Where a standard business laptop would throttle, this Precision is engineered to sustain high performance.
The dedicated NVIDIA T600 GPU is the key differentiator. With ISV certifications for professional applications, it accelerates 3D viewport performance in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Cloud, and drives multiple external monitors with ease. Combined with the 256GB NVMe SSD for fast project loading, it makes a capable, portable platform for engineers, architects, designers and analysts.
For everyday office work the machine is equally at home — Microsoft Office, video conferencing and dozens of browser tabs barely register against its capacity. The full-size keyboard with number pad, RJ-45 Ethernet and generous port selection make it a true desktop-replacement that still travels. Because the BIOS is locked on this particular unit, it suits a buyer who wants a ready-to-use Windows 11 Pro workstation rather than one for custom firmware re-imaging.

✓ Best for • Engineers, architects and designers running CAD/3D software • Photo/video editors and creative professionals • Data analysts and developers running VMs • Power users wanting a desktop-replacement laptop • Buyers who want upgradeable RAM and a dedicated GPU |
✗ Not for • Anyone needing BIOS/UEFI access for re-imaging or firmware changes • Buyers wanting the lightest, thinnest ultraportable • Users needing all-day battery over raw performance • High-end AAA gaming (T600 is a pro GPU, not a gaming card) • Those wanting the cheapest entry-level laptop |
| Grade | Cosmetic Condition | Battery Health |
|---|---|---|
| A — Excellent | Minimal wear, no notable scratches or dents, pristine appearance | 70%+ of original capacity |
| B — Good | Light usage marks and minor cosmetic wear, fully functional | 40–69% of original capacity |
Batteries are consumable and carry 7-day dead-battery cover. Grade A units hold 70%+ capacity; Grade B units hold 40–69%.
What does "BIOS locked" mean for this workstation?
The BIOS has a supervisor password set. The laptop powers on, boots into Windows 11 Pro from the installed SSD and runs normally for everyday use. The only limitation is that you cannot enter the BIOS/UEFI setup to change firmware settings, boot order, or re-image from external media. The price reflects this.
Is the NVIDIA T600 good for gaming?
The T600 is a professional workstation GPU optimised for CAD, 3D and creative applications rather than gaming. It will handle light and older games comfortably, but it is not designed as a high-end gaming card.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
Yes — the 32GB DDR4 memory is in SODIMM slots and can be upgraded, and the M.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced or expanded. Note that BIOS-level changes (such as boot configuration) are not available on this locked unit.
Does it run Windows 11?
Yes — it ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and meets all Windows 11 requirements (11th Gen CPU, TPM 2.0). It receives ongoing Microsoft security and feature updates.
What warranty is included?
Every unit comes with a 12-month Reboot IT warranty covering hardware and functionality. The battery carries 7-day dead-battery cover as a consumable item.
