What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

A dual-socket Dell PowerEdge T630 tower with two 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 processors, 64GB of DDR4 registered memory and 8.8TB of installed storage across four 1.2TB 10K SAS drives and a 4TB SATA drive. It ships with a PERC H730P RAID controller, iDRAC8 Enterprise and dual redundant 750W power supplies, with no operating system installed, and is backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.
As a virtualisation host, the T630 gives you 16 physical cores and 32 threads to share across virtual machines, with 64GB of registered memory to start and room for 22 more DIMMs as your VM count grows. The internal dual SD module with an 8GB card lets you boot a hypervisor from flash and keep every drive bay free for datastores, a common layout for small VMware ESXi, Proxmox or Hyper-V clusters and home labs.
As a file, backup or storage server, the 18-bay 3.5-inch chassis is the headline. The four 1.2TB 10K SAS drives suit a RAID 10 or RAID 5 volume for databases and active shares, while the 4TB SATA drive gives you a separate area for backups or archives. The PERC H730P handles the arrays in hardware with its 2GB non-volatile cache, and 13 empty hot-plug bays leave plenty of headroom to add capacity later.
For a small business that needs an always-on server in a comms cupboard or office, the T630 is designed for uptime. Dual hot-plug power supplies keep it running if one fails, iDRAC8 Enterprise lets your IT provider manage it remotely, and six gigabit network ports make it easy to separate management, storage and user traffic. It arrives with no operating system, so you can install Windows Server, a Linux distribution or a hypervisor to suit your environment.

Does this server come with an operating system?
No. It is supplied with no operating system installed, so you can load Windows Server, a Linux distribution or a hypervisor such as VMware ESXi or Proxmox yourself.
Are the drives set up in a RAID array?
No. The PERC H730P controller is unconfigured, which lets you create the RAID level and volumes that suit your workload before installing your operating system.
Are the hard drives new?
No. All five drives are pre-owned and were in the server when it was tested. The 4TB SATA drive reports around 35,700 power-on hours, so plan your backups and redundancy accordingly.
Can I add more memory?
Yes. Two of the 24 DIMM slots are used by 32GB DDR4 RDIMMs, leaving 22 free. Add matching DDR4 registered modules; with the Xeon E5-2620 v4 installed, memory runs at up to 2133MHz.
Can the T630 be mounted in a rack?
The T630 platform can be converted for rack mounting with Dell's tower-to-rack conversion kit, but this unit is supplied as a tower and no rails or conversion kit are included.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout.
