This is the full-size desktop chassis, which accepts standard full-height expansion cards and has room for additional drives. The SFF version is far more compact but takes low-profile cards only. Choose this one if you plan to expand the machine.

Should I upgrade the RAM or fit an SSD?

Both are worthwhile and both are straightforward. An SSD makes the largest difference to how quick the machine feels; moving from 4GB to 8GB helps most if you keep many browser tabs and applications open. The full-size chassis makes either job easy.
