How is the battery, and how long will it last?
This is a 42Wh 3-cell battery. Refurbished batteries are tested and graded, and a Good-grade unit is between 50% and 70% of original capacity, so expect meaningfully shorter runtime than a new machine — this laptop suits desk and mains-powered use more than a full day unplugged. A 30-day battery warranty is included, and replacement batteries for this model are readily available if you want longer runtime.
Can I upgrade the memory?
Yes, and easily. This unit ships with a single 8GB DDR4 SODIMM and the second slot empty, so you can add one matching module for 16GB in dual channel without removing anything. The platform supports up to 32GB. The M.2 NVMe drive is also replaceable — note it is the shorter 2230 form factor, not 2280.
Does it really have a smart card reader?
Yes. This unit was factory-configured with a contacted smart card reader in the palmrest, alongside a touch fingerprint reader. Note it is contacted only — there is no contactless or NFC reader.
Does it have mobile broadband or a SIM slot?
No. This unit was built with a wireless-LAN-only lid and no mobile broadband card, so LTE cannot be fitted. It connects via Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth or the built-in Gigabit Ethernet port.
Does it support face recognition sign-in?
