The Cisco ASR 1001 Router has the route processor, embedded services processor, and SIP integrated within the chassis with one half-height SPA slot. By default, the Cisco ASR 1001 Router is shipped with 4 GB of DRAM. To implement software redundancy, a minimum of 8 GB memory must be installed on the router.
