The XPS 13 9310 2-in-1 is Dell's premium ultraportable convertible, and the display is why you buy this particular configuration. At 3840×2400 on a 13.4" panel it carries roughly four times the pixels of a Full HD screen, in a 16:10 shape that shows more of a page at once. Combined with the InfinityEdge bezels, the machine is mostly screen when open.
The Core i7-1165G7 is a four-core, eight-thread Tiger Lake processor with Intel's Iris Xe graphics — a substantial step up on the UHD graphics of earlier generations, and enough to drive that high-resolution panel and an external display without strain. With 16GB of memory and a 512GB NVMe drive, it handles a full working day of browser tabs, Office, Teams and light creative work comfortably.
Set expectations on two points. A high-resolution panel draws more power, so runtime from the 51Wh battery is moderate rather than exceptional. And this is an ultraportable, not a workstation: four cores at low wattage suit office and creative work, but sustained rendering or compilation belongs on a larger machine.

Is this really a 4K screen?
It is higher than 4K in one dimension. The panel is 3840 x 2400 in a 16:10 aspect — Dell calls this UHD+. Standard 4K is 3840 x 2160, so this has 240 extra rows of vertical pixels.
Does it come with a pen?
No. The display has a Wacom-based digitiser and supports pen input, but a pen is not included unless specifically noted on this listing.
Can I plug in a USB stick or HDMI monitor?
Not directly. The 9310 2-in-1 has two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a microSD slot and a headset jack — no USB-A and no HDMI. A USB-C hub or adapter covers both.
Can the memory be upgraded?
No. The XPS 13 uses integrated LPDDR4x memory soldered to the board, so the 16GB fitted is fixed for the life of the machine.
How is battery life with a screen that sharp?
Moderate. A UHD+ panel draws more power than a Full HD one, so expect less runtime from the 51Wh battery than a lower-resolution ultraportable would give. It charges over either Thunderbolt port.
What is included in the box?
The laptop, a compatible power adapter and a tax invoice. Original packaging, manuals and accessories are not included unless specifically noted.
