10Gtek AXS85-192-M3 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver

The 10Gtek AXS85-192-M3 is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ short-reach optic for multimode fibre. It runs 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 850nm over up to 300 metres of OM3 fibre, 82 metres of OM2 or 26 metres of OM1, through a duplex LC connector. It is inspected by our team in Melbourne before it is listed and is backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet. IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR from a single SFP+ port.
  • 850nm short reach. Up to 300 metres over OM3 multimode fibre.
  • Works on older fibre too. 82 metres over OM2 and 26 metres over OM1.
  • Duplex LC connector. Takes a standard multimode LC-LC patch lead.
  • Hot-pluggable. Insert or remove it from a live SFP+ port.

Performance in use

A 10GBASE-SR optic is the standard way to run 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre inside a building: switch uplinks, server connections and storage links between racks and floors. The AXS85-192-M3 uses an 850nm VCSEL laser and reaches 300 metres on OM3 fibre, which covers most in-building runs, with shorter distances on older OM2 and OM1 cabling. It follows the SFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ae, so it fits standard SFP+ ports. Both ends of the link need a matching 10GBASE-SR optic.
