Zebra MC9200 Rugged Mobile Computer

A gun-grip rugged handheld computer with a 1D/2D barcode imager, 53-key keypad, colour touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Tested to boot and scan, supplied with two rechargeable batteries, and backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT with free standard AU shipping.

Charger not included. This listing is the MC9200 and two batteries only. A charging cradle, or a cable adapter and power supply, is needed to charge it and must be purchased separately. See Charging below for what to buy.

Permanent asset number. Every device has a permanent asset number painted on the side by its previous owner. It cannot be removed and does not affect function.

Performance in use

The MC9200 is the last and fastest model in Zebra's MC9000 series, the gun-grip handhelds used in warehouses and distribution centres for well over a decade. Staff can scan stock on shelves, key in counts and send the data over Wi-Fi to the warehouse management system, all from one device.

Its trigger grip makes high-volume scanning comfortable, and the housing is sealed against dust and water spray. The 2D imager reads damaged and poorly printed labels as well as 2D codes. The MC9200 uses the same cradles, batteries and cable adapters as the MC9090 and MC9190, so it drops straight into sites already running those devices.

These units come from a business fleet, and each one carries that fleet's permanent asset number painted on the side. With two batteries included, a flat battery can be swapped for a charged one mid-shift. Remember to budget for a way to charge it, as no charger comes with this listing.

Charging (sold separately)

The MC9200 has no DC jack of its own, so it cannot be plugged straight into a wall charger. It charges through a Zebra MC9000-series cradle, or through a snap-on cable adapter that fits the connector on the base. None of the following is included. Any one of the first three options is enough.

Single-slot cradle Cradle CRD9000-1001SR, power supply PWRS-14000-148R and an Australian AC line cord (50-16000-217R). Charges the MC9200 and a spare battery, with USB and RS232 connections to a PC.
Cable adapter Cable adapter module ADP9000-100R, power supply PWRS-14000-148R and an Australian AC line cord. Charges without a cradle. Add a USB cable (25-62166-01R) for a PC connection.
Four-slot cradle For fleets: CRD9101-4001CR (charge only) or CRD9101-4001ER (Ethernet), with power supply PWRS-14000-241R, DC line cord 50-16002-029R and an Australian AC line cord.
Spare batteries The SAC9000-4000 four-slot battery charger, also available from Reboot IT, charges MC9000-series batteries outside the device. It does not charge the MC9200 itself.

Condition grades

Grade A - Excellent Minimal signs of use. May show very light marks that are hard to see.
Grade B - Good Light wear such as scuffs or small scratches that do not affect function. May have light screen scratches that are not visible when the screen is on.

Both grades carry a permanent asset number painted on the side of the device.

No. The MC9200 and two batteries are included, but no cradle, cable adapter or power supply. You will need a single-slot cradle (CRD9000-1001SR) or a cable adapter (ADP9000-100R), each with power supply PWRS-14000-148R and an Australian AC line cord. These are purchased separately.

Does it have any markings?

Yes. Every device has a permanent asset number painted on the side by its previous business owner. It cannot be removed and does not affect how the device works.

Will my MC9090 or MC9190 cradle charge it?
