Can I connect a modern laptop directly?

Yes. The HDMI input connects current laptops, media players and streaming devices without an adapter. Laptops with only USB-C video output need a simple USB-C to HDMI adapter.

Is it bright enough with the lights on?

Yes, for normal room lighting. At 3100 lumens presentation slides and text remain clearly readable with overhead lights on and blinds partly open. Direct sunlight on the screen will wash out any projector.

Is a remote control included?

No. This unit is supplied without a remote control. The on-body control panel handles setup and everyday operation, and the LAN port allows network control. Compatible replacement remotes are widely available.

How many lamp hours are left?

Lamp hours are read during testing. The lamp is a consumable item that will eventually need replacing, and replacement lamps for this model remain available. Contact us before ordering if you would like the reading for the unit currently in stock.

Is it easy to set up in a different room each time?

Will widescreen slides display correctly?

They will display, but the native panel is XGA 4:3, so 16:9 content appears letterboxed with bands above and below. Standard 4:3 presentation slides and document camera output fill the screen fully.
