What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!

A 3LCD presentation projector producing 2200 lumens at XGA resolution, with dual PC inputs, wired network connectivity and a built-in 10W speaker. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty. A straightforward, network-manageable workhorse for classrooms, training rooms and meeting spaces.
The EMP-83H was built for the education and business market, and its design decisions reflect that. The dual computer inputs solve the everyday nuisance of a shared room where a fixed PC and a visiting laptop both need the screen. The 10W speaker means a teacher can play a clip without hunting for external speakers. The network port lets a school or business manage a fleet of rooms centrally. These are not headline features, but they are the ones that determine whether a projector is easy to live with.
At 2200 lumens it is comfortable in a room with normal artificial lighting and controlled daylight. Presentation slides, spreadsheets, web pages and document-camera output are all clearly legible. The 3LCD engine matters here: because colour output is as bright as white output, coloured text and graphs do not fade into the background the way they can on single-chip designs of similar rated brightness.
Be clear-eyed about what this is. It is a mature model with VGA-based connectivity rather than HDMI, and XGA 4:3 resolution rather than widescreen. For a modern laptop you will want a simple HDMI-to-VGA or USB-C-to-VGA adapter, and widescreen slides will letterbox. In exchange you get a robust, serviceable, network-manageable projector at a fraction of current pricing — well suited to a second classroom, an overflow training room, a community hall or a backup unit for an existing install.

Grading covers cosmetic appearance only. Every unit is functionally tested to the same standard regardless of grade. The lamp is a consumable item — remaining lamp hours are checked during testing and we can confirm the reading for a specific unit on request.
Does this projector have HDMI?
No. Connectivity is VGA-based with two computer inputs. A modern laptop connects using an inexpensive HDMI-to-VGA or USB-C-to-VGA adapter, which is the usual approach for projectors of this generation.
Is a remote control included?
No. This unit is supplied without a remote control. The on-body control panel handles setup and everyday operation, and the LAN port allows network control. Compatible replacement remotes are widely available.
Is the built-in speaker loud enough for a classroom?
The 10W speaker is well suited to a standard classroom or meeting room for presentation audio and video clips. A large hall or a noisy environment would still benefit from a separate sound system.
How many lamp hours are left?
Lamp hours are read during testing. The lamp is a consumable item that will eventually need replacing. Contact us before ordering if you would like the reading for the specific unit currently in stock.
Can I mount it on the ceiling?
Yes. The projector supports both table-top and inverted ceiling mounting with the appropriate image orientation setting. Mounting brackets are sold separately.
What does the network port actually do?
It allows the projector to be monitored and controlled over the LAN — checking power state and lamp status, and powering units on or off remotely. This is particularly useful for schools and businesses running projectors across many rooms.
How is it shipped?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout. This is a bulky item and is packed accordingly for transit from our Melbourne facility.
