Will the Thunderbolt 4 ports work with any TB4 or USB-C dock?
Yes — both USB-C ports are full Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps) with DisplayPort and Power Delivery. They work with any Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C dock and can drive two external 4K displays at 60Hz over a single cable along with power and data.
Is the 16GB really dual-channel?
Yes — this configuration is 8GB soldered to the board plus an 8GB SO-DIMM module, giving genuine dual-channel DDR4-3200 operation. That meaningfully improves Iris Xe graphics performance compared with a 16GB single-stick build.

Just having trouble greeting it linked to the internet otherwise it’s okay.
Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
