The Intel FTLX8571D3BCV-IT (Intel part E65689-001) is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ short-reach optic for multimode fibre. It runs 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 850nm over up to 300 metres of OM3 fibre. It is inspected by our team in Melbourne before it is listed and is backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

Performance in Use

A 10GBASE-SR optic is the standard way to run 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre inside a building: server connections, switch uplinks and storage links between racks and floors. It works at 850nm and reaches 300 metres on OM3 fibre, which covers most in-building runs. Both ends of the link need a matching 10GBASE-SR optic.
