The PN5122W turns a compatible Dell 2-in-1 into a notepad. Flip the laptop into tablet mode and take handwritten notes in a meeting, mark up a PDF, sign a document or sketch an idea. The pen tip is detected from 5 mm to 10 mm above the screen, so the pointer follows the pen before it touches the glass, which makes selecting small items far easier than using a finger.

There is nothing to pair. The pen runs on a single AAAA battery, and as soon as it is fitted the tip and buttons work. The top barrel button performs a right-click to open context menus, and holding the bottom barrel button turns the tip into an eraser. Both buttons and the tip's sensitivity can be changed in Dell's peripheral management software.
