Is this actually new, or is it refurbished?

It is genuinely new. This machine has never been deployed, never been in service and has no previous owner. It is not ex-lease and not refurbished. Its internal counter shows under five hours of total runtime, which is our own testing and imaging.

What does open box mean here?

It means the original carton has been opened. We open every machine to test the hardware and install Windows before it is listed, so the box is not factory sealed. Nothing else about the machine differs from new.

How many memory slots are free?

Three. The board has four memory slots and the 32GB is supplied as a single module, so three remain empty. The maximum supported is 128GB. Adding a second matched 32GB module enables dual-channel memory, which is the most cost-effective upgrade on this machine.

Can I add a second drive?

Yes. The 1TB drive occupies the M.2 2280 slot, and two M.2 2230 slots remain free for additional solid-state drives. There are also three SATA ports for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives, though a Dell drive bracket for this chassis is not included.

Is the Windows 11 Pro licence genuine and permanent?

Yes. It is the original Dell OEM licence written into the motherboard firmware, so Windows activates automatically and stays activated. If you ever wipe the machine and reinstall Windows 11 Pro it will reactivate on its own, with no product key to type in. As an OEM licence it stays with this machine and cannot be transferred to another computer.

Does it come with a keyboard, mouse or monitor?

No. The desktop unit and an Australian power lead are supplied. Keyboards, mice and monitors are sold separately, and we stock all three.

Can it run multiple monitors?

Yes. There are three DisplayPort outputs on the rear, so you can run a multi-monitor setup straight out of the box using DisplayPort cables or adapters to suit your screens.
