The Latitude 7480 was Dell’s premium 14-inch business machine, and this is an unusual configuration of it. The i7-6650U is a dual-core part, but it pairs with Intel Iris 540 graphics and 64MB of eDRAM — a combination Intel reserved for a small number of chips — which makes it markedly better at driving external displays and handling visual work than the HD 520 machines it shipped alongside.
With 16GB of DDR4-2400 and a 256GB NVMe solid-state drive, day-to-day work is quick in the ways that register: instant wake, immediate application launch, and no stall when a browser session grows through the day. Memory occupies one of two SO-DIMM slots, and the M.2 drive is replaceable under the base panel.
Port selection is broad for a machine this thin: Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0 and built-in Gigabit Ethernet. That combination suits sites that still run wired networking and meeting rooms that still have a VGA cable on the table — no adapters to carry.

Can this run Windows 11?
No. Windows 11 requires an 8th-generation Intel processor or newer, and this machine is 6th generation. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, genuine and activated. If Windows 11 is a requirement, choose a machine with an 8th-gen or later CPU.
Is the battery replaced?
Batteries are tested, not automatically replaced. Grade A units hold 70% or more of original design capacity and Grade B units 50–70%. Every battery carries a 30-day warranty.
Can the memory be upgraded beyond 16GB?
Yes. The Latitude 7480 has two SO-DIMM slots and this unit uses only one, so a second 16GB module can be added without removing the first.
Can I upgrade the SSD?
Yes. The 256GB M.2 NVMe drive is accessible under the base panel and can be replaced with a larger drive.
What is Iris 540 and does it matter?
It is a higher-tier integrated graphics unit with its own 64MB of fast eDRAM memory. In practice it means smoother multi-monitor work and better video playback than the HD 520 graphics in most laptops of this generation. It is not a gaming or rendering solution.
Does it have a touchscreen?
No. This unit has a matte anti-glare non-touch panel, which is the configuration most buyers prefer for all-day text work.
