The Nighthawk M1 was designed for professionals who need full broadband performance away from fixed internet. LTE Cat16 with 4-band carrier aggregation aggregates multiple LTE frequency bands simultaneously, maintaining high throughput even when any single band is congested. In practice on Australian LTE networks, sustained real-world speeds of 100–400 Mbps are typical in good coverage conditions — more than sufficient for video conferencing, large file uploads, and multiple simultaneous users.

The 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen provides quick access to signal strength, data usage, and connected-device lists without opening the web interface. The NETGEAR Mobile app extends management to your smartphone for remote configuration, usage alerts, and connected device monitoring. For hotel stays, travel router mode connects to the venue's wired Ethernet and broadcasts a secure private WiFi network — protecting all your devices behind a single NAT while avoiding shared hotel WiFi security risks. The Gigabit Ethernet port doubles as a WAN input in this mode, or functions as a LAN port for a wired device when using cellular as the WAN.

No adapter is included. The router charges via USB-C, and most USB-C laptop chargers will work as a replacement. The external TS-9 antenna ports accept optional high-gain antennas (sold separately) for improved signal in rural or fringe-coverage areas.

Does a power adapter come included?

No adapter is included. The Nighthawk M1 charges via USB-C — any USB-C charger (5V/3A or higher) will charge the unit. The battery is also removable and can be charged externally with a compatible cradle charger (sold separately).

Which Australian carriers are supported?

The M1 supports a broad range of LTE bands commonly used in Australia, including Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, and 40, which cover Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone networks. Confirm band compatibility with your specific SIM provider before purchase. A physical nano-SIM card is required (not included).

All-in-one Solution for Home Office

Fair tech for price

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.

Works excellently as advertised.

The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
