The IGEL M340C (UD3) is a compact fanless thin client built around an AMD GX-412HC quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM and 4 GB flash storage. Designed for Citrix, VMware Horizon, and RDP virtual desktop environments, it runs silently, draws minimal power, and mounts behind a monitor via VESA. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.

⚠ IGEL OS licensing. Full IGEL OS functionality and central management via IGEL UMS require a valid IGEL licence, which is not included with this unit.

The M340C is a purpose-built VDI endpoint rather than a general-purpose PC, and it should be judged on that basis. The quad-core GX-412HC has ample capacity to render a remote desktop session, decode the display protocol, and drive two screens — which is the entire job. It is not intended to run local applications, and 2 GB of RAM with 4 GB of flash reflects that design intent.

In practice, users notice the silence and the speed of boot. A thin client of this class reaches a login prompt far faster than a Windows desktop, and because the operating environment is read-only and centrally controlled, it does not degrade over time the way a locally-installed OS does. For task-based roles — call centres, nurse stations, warehouse terminals, reception — that consistency is the main operational benefit.

Does this include an IGEL OS licence?

No. The hardware is supplied without an IGEL licence. Full IGEL OS functionality and central management through IGEL UMS require a valid licence purchased separately from IGEL or a reseller.

Can it run Windows locally?

No. The M340C is a thin client with 4 GB of flash storage and 2 GB of RAM. It is designed to connect to a virtual desktop hosted elsewhere, not to run a local desktop operating system.

How many monitors can it drive?
