The 11th-generation Core i5-1135G7 is a quad-core, eight-thread processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It handles the standard business load without complaint: Office documents, a healthy browser session, Teams or Zoom calls, email and light photo editing. With 8GB of memory it is well suited to focused work on a handful of applications at a time. If your routine involves dozens of browser tabs alongside heavy applications, be aware that the memory is fixed at 8GB and cannot be increased later — see the specifications note below.
The 14-inch Full HD panel uses a matte anti-glare finish that keeps reflections down under office lighting. Thunderbolt 4 is the standout practical feature: a single USB-C connection to a dock brings power, wired networking, peripherals and two external monitors, which makes this a tidy fit for a hot-desk or home-office arrangement where the laptop moves but the desk does not.

Can the memory be upgraded to 16GB later?
No. The Latitude 7420 uses LPDDR4x memory soldered to the system board, so capacity is set at manufacture and cannot be increased afterwards. If you need more than 8GB, choose a model that shipped with it.
Can I expand the storage?
Yes. The SSD is a removable M.2 NVMe drive and can be replaced with a larger one, unlike the memory.
Is the screen a touchscreen?
No. This configuration has the non-touch Full HD panel with an anti-glare finish.
Does it have 4G or mobile broadband?
No. This unit is Wi-Fi only — no WWAN card is fitted. It connects over Intel AX201 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth.
What operating system does it run?
