The T14 Gen 1 is the ThinkPad that goes into corporate fleets by the thousand, and the reasons are practical rather than glamorous: a keyboard people actually want to type on, a chassis that survives being carried every day, and a port selection that connects to whatever the meeting room has.
The i5-10210U is a four-core, eight-thread processor that turbos to 4.2GHz. With 16GB of memory it comfortably runs the everyday business stack — Office, Teams with video, a browser with a serious number of tabs, and a VPN client — without the slowdown an 8GB machine develops by mid-morning.
Two details lift it above the baseline. The camera is an IR/RGB hybrid, so Windows Hello face sign-in works out of the box, and the wireless is Wi-Fi 6 rather than the older AC found on much of this generation.
