What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!

A compact, fanless thin client built on the AMD G-T48E processor with 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD and built-in WiFi, running Windows Embedded Standard 7. Professionally tested and graded by Reboot IT, with a 12-month warranty included.
A thin client is a specific tool, and understanding the job it does is the key to buying the right one. The Wyse 5010 is not intended as a general-purpose desktop — it is built to connect to something else: a Windows terminal server, a Citrix or VMware virtual desktop, or a remote-desktop host. The processing happens on the server; this unit renders the session, handles the peripherals, and stays out of the way.
For that role it is very well suited. Boot is quick, the fanless design means nothing to service, and the unit runs continuously for years without attention. Fleet deployments benefit most: with the compute centralised, adding a desk means plugging in a thin client rather than provisioning and patching another PC.
This particular configuration — the D90D7 with WES7, 4GB RAM and a 16GB SSD — is the more capable end of the 5010 range. The larger drive and Windows Embedded Standard 7 allow local applications and a familiar Windows interface, where the smaller flash variants are limited to a thin boot image. It also carries WiFi, which the wired-only models do not. If you need a thin client that can do a little work locally as well as connect to a server, this is the version to pick. Note that WES7 is a legacy Microsoft platform and no longer receives security updates, so it is best deployed on a managed internal network rather than exposed directly to the internet.

What is a thin client, and will it replace my desktop PC?
A thin client connects to a server or virtual desktop where the actual computing happens. It is not intended as a standalone desktop replacement. If you need a machine to run applications locally, a small-form-factor desktop is the better choice.
How does this differ from the other Wyse 5010 variants?
This is the D90D7: Windows Embedded Standard 7 with 4GB RAM, a 16GB SSD and built-in WiFi. Other 5010 variants ship with smaller flash storage or different operating systems, and not all include wireless. The larger SSD and WES7 make this the more capable configuration.
Is Windows Embedded Standard 7 still secure?
WES7 is a legacy Microsoft platform and no longer receives security updates. It remains entirely serviceable on a managed internal network behind a firewall, which is the normal thin-client deployment. We would not recommend exposing it directly to the internet.
Does it include a monitor, keyboard or mouse?
No — the thin client and power supply are provided. Peripherals are sold separately, and we usually have refurbished monitors and accessories in stock.
Can it be mounted behind a monitor?
Yes. The chassis is VESA mountable, so it can sit behind a screen or under a desk and take up no usable space at all.
What shipping options are available?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout.
